Behavior Reduction and Skill Development
Our treatment is based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Goals are written in measurement terms. Behavior is operationally defined, and data is collected. Several interventions are implemented across various situations and settings. Some examples include:
- Proactive strategies for changing the environment
- Teaching new skills that replace problem behaviors
- Eliminating or minimizing reinforcement for problem behavior
- Providing effective reinforcement for appropriate behavior
